UK Paintball Cylinder Testing Requirements
Under IDEST and UK legislation, paintball cylinders must meet the following requirements:
Carbon Fibre Cylinders – Many paintball systems use carbon fibre-wrapped cylinders to reduce weight while holding higher pressures. These require the same 5-year hydrostatic test as steel and aluminium cylinders.
Regulator Servicing – Most paintball cylinders include a fitted regulator, which also requires regular inspection and servicing to maintain consistent output pressure and prevent failures during use.
